What does it mean to ';Demonize'; someone and how often is this done in cases of ';child abuse';?

do most grow up thinking they ARE ';Evil'; too?

which areas of the world is this most common too and how person actually becomes like this in many cases?

please explain and describe

why parents do this? What does it mean to ';Demonize'; someone and how often is this done in cases of ';child abuse';?
Demonization is the reinterpretation of polytheistic deities as demons by other religions, generally monotheistic and henotheistic ones.

The term has since been expanded to refer to any characterization of individuals, groups, or political bodies as evil.

Are the parents of abused children demonized? Often they are because of the cruelty in their abuse toward a child.

Why parents do this? because they do not know how to understand children. Some are just animals. What does it mean to ';Demonize'; someone and how often is this done in cases of ';child abuse';?
To demonize someone is to put an undue amount of blame on a person or persons for a certain amount of time for actual or imagined events usually over a certain number of years. Yes I imagine that if a child were demonized that s/he could possibly grow up thinking that s/he were evil and would need a great deal of therapy to overcome that world view. The persons who would do this to another person are unconscionable (evil comes to mind), although I doubt the perpetrators set out to ';demonize'; someone. It's just a long-built phenomenom that becomes familiar within the family dynamic. I would think that it would take people very close to the subject (like family members) to convince that person that s/he was a demon or some such being.

Sorry I have no idea if there is an area of the world where this practice is more prevalent than in others. It does happen in the US, but women are mistreated especially in some African and Middle Eastern countries.

Demonizing can be used on anyone. It can be reversed on parents who were too strict for instance. It doesn't really mean the parents were being evil but the term demon can be applied to anyone who we choose to apply it to. It should not be a word carelessly thrown about.
Wrong section. Way too serious subject matter for P%26amp;S.
