Have there ever been any confirmed cases of malaria from mosquito's in toronto?

I am worried about the risk of malaria in toronto?Have there ever been any confirmed cases of malaria from mosquito's in toronto?
First, the risk of malaria in Canada is relatively low, since we're a cold-weather climate and mosquitos don't like the cold weather. Also, the parasite *needs* a mosquito (and a specific species of mosquito at that) in order to reproduce and infect other humans--so no mosquitos means no malaria.

The CDC has a report that states that malaria isn't endemic in Canada, but there are cases of it seen in immigrants or people who travel to areas where malaria is endemic.

It's a possibility that malaria infections may be contracted in Canada, but it's really rare.
