Similar non-violent and violent crime cases that result in different verdicts?

I'm expected to compare the verdicts of similar cases and am having no luck finding similar cases. Anything specific I should be looking for? Specific search terms. I'm not too familiar with the judicial system so anything will help.Similar non-violent and violent crime cases that result in different verdicts?

where are you searching? If you go on westlaw or lexis and search jury verdicts, you can put in search terms like ';broken foot'; and get a list of verdict awards for people w/ broken feet and pick out the numbers that are different. Not sure how you would find them unless you are in that kind of data base or went to a law library where they had ';jury verdict reporters'; but you could try seeing if there are free 'jury verdict reporters'; on line or search your local paper archives for any verdicts that were publised.
